Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for common issues in the NM WCA Electronic Case Filing System. If your issue is not listed here, use Contact Us from the portal.

Registration and login

I didn't receive the registration approval or password email.

  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • Wait 24–48 hours; review can take a short time.
  • If you still don't see it, contact WCA via Contact Us and include the email address you used to register.

I can't log in.

  • Confirm you're using the same email and password you set after approval.
  • Use the portal's password reset option if available.
  • If the problem continues, contact WCA support (e.g., via Contact Us) and mention "login issue."

E-filing and uploads

My upload failed or I get an error when submitting.

  • Check that the file type is allowed (e.g., PDF) and the file size is within the portal's limits.
  • Try a different browser or device.
  • If it keeps failing, contact support and describe the error and the step where it happens.

I don't see my filing after I submitted it.

  • Use the Submitted Filings tile on the dashboard; your filing should appear there until the clerk reviews it.
  • Refresh the page or log out and log back in.
  • If it's still missing, contact support with your Filing ID if you have it.

Cases and Entry of Appearance

I can't find my case.

  • In Entry of Appearance, search by WCA Case Number if you have it, or by Worker (name and date of injury).
  • In My WCA Cases or My MS Cases, use the tiles (Active / Inactive) and the table; your case appears only after your Entry of Appearance is accepted.

My pleading was rejected.

  • Check the Rejection Reason on the Pleadings tab (or in the email from WCA).
  • Correct the document or information and upload again, or contact support if the reason is unclear.

General

The page is slow or not loading.

  • Refresh the page. Try a supported browser (e.g., latest Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) and a stable internet connection.
  • If the portal is down, try again later and contact support if the issue continues.

I need more help.

  • Use Contact Us on the portal and include your WCA Case Number or Filing ID and a short description of the issue.
  • Check the Frequently Asked Questions and the ECF FAQs link in the portal for more answers.
